Jade & Byron

Jade & Byron’s Blue Bay Lodge wedding was such a breath of fresh air.  Literally and figuratively!  Anyone who is familiar with the Cape West Coast knows that the beautiful turquoise water does not stay flat and glassy all day.  I mean, there is a reason people come here from all over the world to kite surf!  And so it was on the day of Jade & Byron’s wedding that the wind was out in full force.  There were a few times during the ceremony that Jade’s veil nearly blew off.

Jade & Byron are such a lovely couple.  They are both so warm and welcoming and it’s wonderful that fate brought them together as two such nice people could not be more deserving of each other.  And then to top it all, how gorgeous is Jade?  And she has THE most beautiful hair!

Jade and Byron’s Blue Bay Lodge wedding was laid back and relaxed.  We loved how they tied their décor in with the sea with minimal use of florals, and using shells as centre pieces instead.  I mean with that beautiful turquoise backdrop, who needs anything more?

And just for the record, we were super impressed by the spread of canapes on offer by Blue Bay Lodge.  From sushi, prawns and oysters;  to sticky chicken pieces and biltong pate on homemade bread.  This place certainly knows how to look after their guests.

You’ve got to love people who are not afraid to show their feelings.  I can honestly say we’ve never photographed a wedding with such heartfelt speeches (and lots of tears!)

Jade and Byron, couples like you cross our paths every so often.  We know you have what it takes to make magic together.  Wishing you a lifetime of love!  Thank you for allowing us to make memories with you at your Blue Bay Lodge wedding.
