Linda & Pieter’s Game Farm Wedding

Linda & Pieter

There was never a doubt in our mind that Linda and Pieter’s wedding day would be beautiful! When we took their engagement photographs, we realized there was a certain class and elegance about these two – they seriously could grace the pages of a glossy magazine like Vogue.  But nothing could prepare us for the prettiness we were to capture on their special day.

Linda and Pieter got married in the beautiful Gothic Revival style Dutch Reformed church in Worcester with its tall steeple.  It made a wonderful backdrop for a group photograph of Linda and Pieter with all of their wedding guests.  This was such a lovely idea to have a treasured keepsake of everyone that attended the wedding.

The wedding reception was held at Fairy Glen Private Game Reserve a place dear to the couple’s hearts as it forms part of Pieter’s family heritage.

The stylish game farm wedding was co-ordinated by Polkadot Weddings & Design.  Using a mix of bold grey and white candy stripes, but incorporating a lot of natural elements and plant varieties from the surroundings, the final product was a photography feast.

While we were off taking the couple’s wedding photographs, the wedding guests were not short on entertainment.  Under metres of bunting a casual area was created with hay bales for guests to kick off their shoes and relax.  Drinks and canapés were served to the sound of a guitar and vocals as well as traditional drumming.  There was face painting and craft beer on tap and this all whilst taking in the fabulous Little Karoo mountain scenery.  Guests were taken on game drives in open 4×4 jeeps –what a treat!

The reception was a feast and celebration.  The speeches were real tear jerkers and there were both happy and sad tears.  This is what makes weddings so special.  You not only get to celebrate those who are near and dear to you, but you also get to reminisce about those who are no longer here.

WHO MADE THE WEDDING POSSIBLE?

  • Linda’s red lips and long lashes – what a dream to photograph!
  • Pieter’s very unique wedding ring with a family crest engraved on it.
  • Crazy dance floor moves
  • The fact that there are two such insanely beautiful people but that the beauty is not just on the outside, but the inside too.
  • The gorgeously packaged wooden ear rings and brooches that were guest favours.
