This Opstal Estate wedding left us with all the feels. What a gem of a venue, gorgeous couple and rad wedding guests!

OPSTAL ESTATE WEDDING VENUE

Travelling through the tunnel and in the direction of Worcester on the national highway, we’ve always wondered where that random bridge crossing heads to.

On a hot December day we finally got to find out. The road meanders its way into the Slanghoek Valley. Towering rugged mountains lined with wine estates and fruit farms pass by as you traverse the valley.

Just under ten kilometres later you will arrive at the Opstal Estate wedding venue. What struck us most about the setting was the majestic mountains. Either which way you look, they are ever present.

THE WEDDING DAY

Introducing Luci and Matthew, the stars of the day. These two lovely souls could not be more suited to each other.

All the wedding preparations were done in the lovely cottages on the farm. There and then we decided it would be a lovely breakaway spot for a winters weekend.

Friends and family looked on as Luci & Matthew said their vows. Happy cheering ensued as they walked down the aisle for the first time as husband and wife.

Delicious canapés, a gin bar and a photo booth kept guests entertained. It was great that Luci and Matthew spent some time mingling with their guests before heading off for their couple shoot. Speaking of which, the Opstal Estate venue is not short on gorgeous scenery. The timing was perfect with the last sunbeams filtering through the mountains.

Moving on to the reception. Let’s just say these guys know how to party. You’ll notice that Luci even changed outfits.
