Lyn & Harvey

This Stellenbosch Hudsons wedding left us on such a high!  There was a natural energy present on the day that you only find at a handful of weddings.   As photographers you get a little peek into the lives of two families for only a few hours.  This is just long enough for you to sum up the kinds of people they are.  The fact that friends and family flew across the globe to be there for Lyn & Harvey on their special day already speaks volumes.

Lyn & Harvey’s destination wedding was held at Hudsons.  It has the perfect setting for an outdoor ceremony, and the garden was looking extra pretty on the day.

There was just so much to love about Lyn & Harvey’s Stellenbosch Hudsons wedding.  Let’s start with Lyn.  Lyn is probably one of the most sincere and open brides we’ve ever met.  No pretenses there, that smile says it all.   Not to mention the Irish lilt, and that of all her family members!   And her bright pink dress, specially made with the first dance in mind.Yes, people, we photographed the wedding of a couple who are New Zealand national dance champions!  Be sure to check out the images of their first dance.  It blew our minds!

Moving along to Harvey.  What a distinguished groom.  With a gorgeous tailored suit and accompanying hat, he absolutely adores Lyn.  Harvey’s family also traveled from all over, and we loved the Indian element they brought to the wedding.  The blessing at the start of the ceremony was so beautiful.

As for all of the special moments, there are too many to mention.   One that really stood out though; Lyn’s dad was too ill to travel, but he was most certainly there!  Thank goodness for modern technology.  Dressed up in his suit and all he witnessed the whole day on Facetime.  Special moments!
