When an enquiry comes up for a Cabrieres Montagu Karoo wedding, we silently say an extra little prayer that we’ll get the job.

I suppose you want to know why?  Well, here’s the thing.  Any job that involves a road trip is right down our alley.  And when you get to shoot in one of your favourite areas in the Little Karoo, it’s even better.  On the way home, we usually do a little detour via McGregor to visit our friends there, and in this case we got to partake in one of our other favourite small town activities – a Sunday Supper at the Sandbag House.  So all in all, pretty perfect weekend!

Cabrieres in Montagu is such a stunning location for a wedding.  Imagine an outdoor ceremony area under a huge pepper tree overlooking the mountains and vineyards.  And a cozy, romantic barn setting for the reception.  Add to this old world farm hospitality and yummy food, and you certainly have a winning recipe for a wedding venue.

Then from a photography point of view, the scenery is beautiful.  We also got to work with such a lovely couple.  Ina & Heinrich, you two, and your family and friends made it so easy to take photos.  You are just so happy and in love, and capturing moments of your special day did not feel like work at ALL!

We got to work with a whole host of lovely service providers on the day too.  Everyone did their bit in making sure Ina & Heinrich had the most special of days.
