Jana & Brad’s Cabrieres Montagu wedding was such a treat to photograph.  It’s no secret that we love the Little Karoo, so we were thrilled when they booked us to document their special day.  A roadtrip, a gorgeous couple, a stunning venue and an excuse to pop into McGregor on the way home to visit our good friends for 2 nights.  We were as happy as Larry.

The Cabrieres Montagu wedding venue is right down our alley.  The rustic old barn that’s been converted into the most gorgeous space with candles and fairy lights abound creates such a romantic atmosphere. It’s set amongst the vineyards and has spectacular views over the Karoo mountains.

Jana and Brad said their I’do’s  outside under the big old pepper tree.  What a gorgeous setting.  There were so many special moments during the ceremony, but there were a few that really stood out. The first, when Jana’s dad met her at the end of the aisle, seeing her for the first time, and the other was the four footed furry ring bearer.  Just so special!  And then of course Brad’s reaction during the first kiss!

While guests were enjoying canapes, and after a few group photos, we went for a short drive for the couple shoot.  The Karoo scenery is just so pretty.  And then add to it a couple who are so madly in love and total naturals in front of the camera, and you have a winning recipe for amazing photographs.

Jane and her team a Cabrieres did such a fabulous job making everything pretty, and not only that, she is so hospitable and welcoming too, making you feel at home and not just like a service provider.  We got to meet the most amazing and talented musicians too.  Watch this space, these guys are going big!
