A Cape Town backyard wedding for the win! Apparently Amy’s Aunt & Uncle’s home in Rondebosch is known as the “party house!” It seems many a family gathering have been held here. And this time it was Amy & Andrew’s wonderful wedding!

THE LOVELY COUPLE

We go way back with Andrew’s family and first met him when we photographed his sister’s wedding. It was so lovely connecting with them again and meeting their gorgeous kids! Andrew the tall cricketer, and Amy the bubbly teacher. They make such a great couple!

THE WEDDING DAY

On the way to photograph the boys, we popped in to where all the action was happening. This home could not have been more perfectly suited for a Cape Town backyard wedding! The garden was transformed into a wonderful wedding space! A real family affair with everyone jumping in to help decorate and set up. How lucky these two are to be surrounded by such an amazing bunch of people!

We seldom shoot ceremonies in churches any more. It was refreshing to be back in one after such a long time, and especially the pretty stone Christ Church in Constantia. After the wedding ceremony we went off to the Alphen trail to take some photographs. Amy and Andrew were such a pleasure to have in front of our lenses, and it did not feel like work at all photographing these two! Despite dodging all of the “doggy doo” we had an epic time with you guys!

After a ride in Paul’s famous mint green kombi, Amy & Andrew rejoined their guests and it was time to get the party started!
