Chantelle & Petrus

This Cape Town beach engagement shoot was a whole lot of fun.   You’d never say so, but crazy blustery wind and freezing cold water make for great photos!  They seem to invigorate and make people come alive.  Not that Chantelle & Petrus needed any of that.  They are naturally fun and energetic, so doing this shoot was literally a breeze (pardon the pun.)

We seem to be hanging out at Llandudno quite often these days!  When Chantelle & Petrus mentioned that they’d love photos at the sea, we thought this gorgeous setting would be perfect for their Cape Town beach engagement shoot.  The tide was playing along nicely, which meant we could go through the crack in the rocks to the more secluded beach adjacent to the main beach.  It’s always lovely shooting there.  I love the way the light reflects off the boulders, and that you can clamber about to get different perspectives.

Chantelle and Petrus are such a great couple to work with.  Literally a photographers dream!   Not just good looking on the outside, but genuinely lovely people.  And when people are genuinely lovely, it shows in the way they interact with each other.  You can tell so much about people in the way they interact with us as photographers too!  And that, in turn reflects on the kind of photos you are able to capture!  Chantelle, we know your toes were numb in the freezing cold water, but it was oh so worth it!

Chantelle and Petrus, we really enjoyed getting to know you during your Cape Town beach engagement shoot.  We cannot wait for your wedding later this year!  You guys are going to be absolutely gorgeous and we are so honoured and excited that you chose us to capture your special day!
