What a privilege to photograph this wonderful CTICC Event photography gig for another year running.  The Cape Homemakers Expo never ceases to amaze!  We’re there from set up,  and I must admit, it is very exciting seeing the space transformed from what can only be described as a building site to an area filled with innovative, creative and exciting stands.

The theme this year was Raw Comfort.  How interesting to see the exhibitors interpretations.  There was a definite emphasis on upcycling and blending of rustic and modern concepts.  Dark colours, splashes of mustard and botanical themes were trending.

The problem with this particular CTICC Event photography job, is that you really get to ogle at all of the loveliness surrounding you.  You literally spend thousands of rands in your mind as you add up the lovely things you’d like to take home with you!  It’s wonderful to see what’s out there.

The Cape Homemakers Expo definitely offers something for everyone.

There are trendy kitchen ideas, bathrooms and fittings as well as appliances for your home.  There are loads of exciting ideas for outdoor living too.  Gorgeous interior design and furniture ideas abound.  The prettiness of the artisan’s creations is always a drawcard too, and it’s so lovely getting to know the artists.

The demo areas and theatres are always buzzing, offering cooking, tastings, and creative diy ideas as well as quirky gadgets.  In the D’vine Life area there are all kinds of yummy tastings, and when the feet get tired, and the hunger pangs set in, there are a number of restaurants to choose from to rest the weary feet and regain the energies.

Congratulations to the Homemakers Team, the exhibitors and the CTICC for hosting yet another wonderful Expo.  Thank you again for the opportunity to help showcase all of the loveliness!
