Highlands Lodge

This Durbanville Interior photography gig was rather special.  How strange the ways of the world are.  Going back several years to when I was teaching,  I taught the owners daughter.   Who would have thought that years later, we would meet again.  That little girl is now a beautiful young lady.

Based in the area ourselves, this Durbanville interior photography project was perfect.  We did not have to travel far to get to “work.”

Highlands Lodge is a real gem of a place.  Situated in leafy suburbia, it feels more as if you ARE in a lodge rather than a guesthouse.  The magnificent garden setting immerses you into what seems like a natural wonderland.  And if you look carefully enough you may spot some wildlife hiding in the shrubbery.

Entering Highlands Lodge, you are met by the fabulous smiling faces of the staff members.  You are immediately made to feel welcome.  Meals are served in the spacious dining area.  The lovely light airy lounge leads onto the garden and the large patio doors make the outside come in.   There are ample private areas in the garden to soak up the sunshine and get some fresh air.

There are various accommodation options are on offer.  These range from one roomed suites to a deluxe two roomed family suite.  They all include a small kitchenette with bar fridge and microwave, and an en-suite bathroom with a single vanity and shower.  All open onto the lovely garden patio.  There are also 4 studio apartments tucked away down the garden path.  These can be occupied on a self catering basis.

Highlands Lodge also plays host to functions and events.  Of late, elopements and micro weddings have become quite popular, and this could be the perfect space to have your intimate wedding.
