Engagement Ghousia Function Venue

We met Mehtaab for the first time on the night of her engagement at the Ghousia Function Venue. We started out the evening at her home in Rondebosch where we photographed her getting ready. I would say Murad has certainly made a wonderful choice, as Mehtaab is such a lovely, kind and gentle soul. She’s beautiful too, and we loved her gorgeous outfit and stunning make up.

We got to the Ghousia Function Hall before the guests so we could get a few décor photos as well as a few shots of Mehtaab before the function started. Soon guests in their colourful outfits started arriving, some family members bearing beautiful gifts. We love the tradition of exchanging gifts between the bride and groom to be. They are always so beautifully wrapped and contain special luxuries and treasures!

After a few short speeches and prayers, it was time for the ring and watch exchange.

This is another wonderful tradition that happens during the engagement ceremony. Just before this Murad made his grand entrance. He had such a huge smile on his face, and could not wait to get to his beautiful bride to be!

Once the formalities were over, it was time for a delicious dinner, after which guests got to mingle and catch up on each other’s news. We especially love the little unscripted moments that happen during this time. Guests greeting each other, people admiring Mehtaab’s ring, and loads of other little moments of people just generally having a good time!

The evening ended off with group photographs.

Mehtaab & Murad, it was such an honour being a part of your engagement at the Ghousia Funcion Venue. You are such a cute couple, and we cannot wait to create more memories with you on your wedding weekend.
