A Franschhoek farm sanctuary wedding, say what? A wedding in a genuine barn filled with farm animals. We could not have been more in our elements!

Chanel got in touch in what seems a lifetime ago. Their first venue fell through and all of the Covid trials and tribulations did not help their planning at all. But my goodness, were we glad when these two decided on a Franschhoek Farm sanctuary wedding!

What an amazing space the Farm Sanctuary in Franschhoek is. Way back when the Maynardville Carnival was still in full swing I picked up a book on a dusty pile in the second hand book stall, called ‘Ahound the world.’ I was smitten with this cool dog, called Oscar who travelled the world. After hearing of his death, and the pledge his owner made to improve the lives of those who have no voice, I avidly followed the developments of Oscar’s Ark and the birth of the Farm Sanctuary in Franschhoek.

This eclectic barn, home to the famous Pigcasso painting pig, was just the most glorious spot for Chanel & Vanessa to celebrate their love. They decided on a micro wedding with only a handful of guests. From the gorgeous grounds, the animals basking in the afternoon sun, the views and the amazing accommodation, it could not have been any more perfect! Lisl worked her magic with simple yet striking décor pieces.

Chanel & Vanessa were such a treat to have in front of our lenses. We could not have chased the sun with a more fun, energetic and loving couple!
