Greyton Wedding
Lynne & Gary
A Greyton wedding is always fabulous. Not only do we get to make a little trip out into the countryside, but we also get to shoot in the most stunning surroundings. The Oaks Estate played host to this gorgeous Greyton wedding. Situated just outside the little village of Greyton, this magnificent wedding venue boasts gabled buildings, lush green lawns, pretty gardens, and serene views of the surrounding mountains. It’s not hard to see why Lynne and Gary came all the way from the United Kingdom to tie the knot here! They came to perfect Cape Town weather, leaving the chilly UK Winter behind them for a while.
Our day started off with Gary and the boys. They got dressed in a little cottage across the road from The Oaks. After spending some time with them, we went across to the girls who were doing their preparations in the loft of the manor house. Lynne made such a beautiful bride. She has the most stunning eyes and a gorgeous smile. Once she put on her wedding dress she was literally glowing! The ceremony took place outside in the shade of the giant oak trees. Lynne and Gary were surrounded by all of those near and dear to them. The service was short and sweet. Afterwards guests got to chill on the lawns. Delicious canapes were served and they were entertained by the happy sounds of the Hungarian Trio who are always fun and interactive during their gigs.
We snuck off for the couple shoot. There are just so many gorgeous places to take photographs on the estate. It’s just impossible to get to all of them in less than an hour. We really hope to shoot another Greyton wedding here sometime soon so we can explore some more of the spots!
The reception was festive. It’s always a treat to photograph weddings were the dance floor is full of crazy movers and shakers!
Thank you, Lynne and Gary for trusting us with the precious memories of your beautiful Greyton wedding. Our job was a breeze! xxx
WHO MADE THE WEDDING POSSIBLE?
- The Labrador who was totally part of the day, even on the dance floor during the reception!
- The most organized groom and groomsmen we have ever encountered!
- The very special and sentimental heirloom callcard holder and embroidered hanky that belonged to Lynne’s gran.
- The quirky barbecue sosaties that were literally braaied out on the lawn adding a definite South African flavour to the canapes.
- Movers and Shakers on the dancefloor!

Thank you so much Andre and Selma! You were an absolute pleasure to work with – we loved your enthusiasm, professionalism and natural talent! You did a great job of capturing the day. I must say that I was completely upstaged by the Labrador 🙂 – he was amazing, and kept up with us on the dance floor all night. Love all the crazy dance floor moves. Thanks again!
