Intimate Cape Town wedding

This intimate Cape Town wedding left us with all of the feels. The joy, the laughter, the happy tears! All of it!
But most of all, it epitomized everything a wedding day should be. You don’t need a fancy venue. You don’t have to have hundreds of guests, some of whom you have never even met. And you certainly do not have to spend thousands of rands on décor and florals. Of course all of these things are lovely, and if that’s your thing, we love capturing those weddings too, but there’s just something so special about an intimate wedding. When it’s all about two people who really love each other surrounded by only their nearest and dearest. And when we say this was an intimate Cape Town wedding, we literally mean intimate, with just parents and siblings present.
Moving on to the gorgeous bride and groom. What are the chances a girl form the suburbs of Cape Town goes to study in Bloemfontein and a Taiwanese boy steals her heart? Not very likely, but it’s a true story! Hannah and Sam are just perfect for each other. The way they look at each other in absolute adoration is something so very beautiful to see. Their love for each other is almost tangible.
After a beautiful ceremony in Hannah’s parent’s garden, we got to enjoy a glass of bubbly with the newly weds. Then it was time to head off to Loch Lynne wine estate outside Durbanville for the family photos and couple shoot.
When we met up with Hannah & Sam for a cup of coffee before their wedding day, we mentioned it would be super cool if there were a bit of a Taiwanese twist on the day. Nothing prepared us for the gorgeous traditional outfits they brought along for the couple shoot. The bright striking colours of the traditional outfits stood out perfectly against the muted backdrop of the fields.

Andre and Selma, all we can say is WOW! You took the most beautiful photos of our day and captured all of our special moments! We couldn’t have asked for anything more perfect. Both Sam and I don’t love having our pictures taken but you two made us feel so calm and relaxed and the end result are is pictures we and our family will treasure forever.
