Kerry-Ann and Francois’ intimate wedding at Fransmanshuijs was a real treat.  We’ve definitely seen a shift in wedding trends.  Many couples are opting for micro weddings.  As the word suggests a ‘micro wedding’ literally means a small wedding.  It is an intimate celebration with only the couple’s nearest and dearest in attendance.  And I must say we have really been enjoying them.

Kerry-Ann and Francois’ intimate wedding at Fransmanshuijs was perfectly planned and orchestrated by the lovely Louise from Runaway Romance.  Louise has a real soft spot for the Cape Winelands.  She’s always super enthusiastic when she’s able to plan a Cape Town wedding!  We love working with her.  She’s so cool, calm and collected, yet professional at the same time and always on top of her game!  We don’t see her only as a wedding planner she’s a darn fine floral and décor artist too!

Fransmanshuijs is the perfect setting for an intimate wedding or elopement.  This beautiful four bedroomed luxury farm house stands on a hilltop on the beautiful Fransmanskraal farm.

The views over the vineyards and Stellenbosch mountains are spectacular.  It’s not hard to see why Kerry-Ann & Francois chose it for their micro wedding.

The ceremony took place under the old oak tree in the garden.  An intimate dinner celebration was set up on the covered stoep which runs the length of the farmhouse.  Kerry-Ann and Francois were super chilled and laid back.  I think they couldn’t WAIT to get married.  After the ceremony we had a little wander around the farm for the couple shoot.  At sunset they rejoined their guests for a wonderful family feast!
