Kalk Bay Kids photoshoot
Nephews & Nieces
This Kalk Bay kids photoshoot entertained us for one whole hour. When you don’t have kids of your own, you forget how cool they can actually be! And especially at this age. After all they are really just mini adults.
Covid did it’s fair share of keeping families apart over the last nearly two years. These nephews and nieces used to get to see each other at least a few times a year. Even though they live in the same country, not being able to cross borders for much of the last few months meant they did not get to do their annual visits.
And so it came about that their Aunt thought it would be the perfect treat to spoil this bunch to their own Kalk Bay kids photoshoot. What better way for moms and dad’s to enjoy a kid free hour having drinks or a bite to eat, while the kids go off and have some fun of their own? And fun we had! It was great getting to know this awesome foursome. Each different to the other with their own quirks and personalities. After spending and hour with them it felt as if we’d become kids again ourselves. We loved their confidence and their subtle way of requesting certain shots. But most of all, it was just wonderful to see such wholesome, well brought up children. There’s just no substitute for a solid, grounded family upbringing.
What a fun hour spent with this lovely bunch during their Kalk Bay kids photoshoot. We hope to see you all again sometime, and maybe we can do a repeat, who knows!

As the aforementioned aunt, I am simply stunned at how magnificently these photos capture each beautiful persons personality and their bonds with each other. Two years is a long time in the lives of young people, and this is how long it has been since they last saw each other. Did the time apart have any negative impact on their relationship? Not at all. They simply picked up where they left off the last time they saw each other. A bit more mature but still some awesome moments of silliness.
Thank you Selma and Andre for capturing these amazing humans and for making them feel comfortable enough to be their authentic selves.
Awwwhhhh what a lovely message, thank you. It was an absolute honour, and it did not feel like work at ALL!!!!!!
