Loch Lynne family photo shoot

The Erasmus Family

This Loch Lynne family photo shoot was such a treat!  What an undiscovered gem Loch Lynne Estate is.  The best part is that it’s right on our doorstep in Durbanville!  We never even knew it was there until we stumbled across their Instagram page, and now we are smitten!

The setting for this Loch Lynne family photo shoot was beautiful, and the function venue with its black and white checkered floor is just gorgeous.  There is also a stunning courtyard, which if you close your eyes for a moment you could be sitting in a little hilltop town in Tuscany!  We can’t wait to shoot a wedding here sometime!

Our original venue for the Erasmus family shoot did not work out, and boy oh boy, are we actually glad that happened, as their  Loch Lynne family photo shoot was perfect!  Don’t you just love the colour palette?  It all had such a pretty Autumn feel to it.  And with the turning leaves, and golden sunset, we could not have asked for a better backdrop!

Let’s get back to the lovely Erasmus family.  We photographed Zena and Wesley’s wedding ten years ago.  At the time Sasha was only a little girl, and Zeeq was not even a thought yet!  Look at them now!  A gorgeous foursome!  In fact, Zena & Wes have not aged a single day!

What we really loved about Loch Lynne is the variety of photographic backdrops.  We did not even get to use all of them!  And worth mentioning is that they charge a very minimal fee to use the premises.  We’ve never quite understood why some venues charge exorbitant prices for a 1 hour shoot.  After all, they are getting beautiful images in return.

Zena, Wesley, Sasha & Zeeq, it was so awesome spending time with you during at Loch Lynne.  Your bond is incredible, and you really are an example to so many out there.  We know that you have had your fair set of challenges, but you’ve come out tops!  Let’s not wait another 10 years before our next shoot!
