Corlia & Martin

This was our first Ashanti wedding.  And what a wedding it was!    Nothing short of a floral and lighting extravaganza!  With insanely gorgeous hanging installations, the venue was transformed into a magical space for Corlia and Martin’s special day.  Hannes and Tina from Kraak Events did a sterling job putting it all together.

We’d visualized all of the amazing photographs we’d take in the beautiful surroundings for Corlia and Martin’s Ashanti wedding.   But guess what?  The weather decided to give us the middle finger, and it poured with rain.  We need rain desperately, so Corlia and Martin, I think it was more of a blessing than anything else.  And anyway, they say that rain is just confetti from the sky!   Luckily the venue is a piece of architectural art in itself, and when things got a little too wet outside, we were able to utilize the inside.

Martin and the boys got dressed in a guest house in Paarl.  We loved the custom made belts, with each groomsmen’s name etched out on the inside.The girls got dressed at Boschenmeer Estate.  Corlia looked like an Egyptian queen.  Simply beautiful!  What a stunning dress and headpiece to complement it.  Her bridesmaids had the most gorgeous dainty headbands, each one different.

Maybe we did not get to do all of the couple photographs we had planned on, but we certainly made up with moments.  There were just so many of them!  And that’s what happens when two people in love with each other are surrounded on the happiest of days by all those near and dear to them.  You get HAPPY MOMENTS!  And that makes for happy photographers too!

Corlia and Marin, thank you for choosing us to capture your memories.  If your Ashanti wedding was anything to go by, the rest of your lives are going to be very happy too!
