What a perfect Rickety Bridge Estate Wedding day! And so it was that Kirsty & Curtis finally got to celebrate their love story in South Africa.

Being from the UK, their wedding planning, as with so many other couples was an emotional roller coaster ride. Then it was on, then it was off. Even a few weeks before their wedding day, things were still a little uncertain. But Kirsty & Curtis kept the faith and together with a few close family and friends they said “we do” overlooking the vineyards in the shadow of the old manor house at Rickety bridge estate in Franschhoek.

It was pretty hot on the day of Kirsty & Curtis’ Rickety Bridge Estate wedding, but so was the love! Being in the magnificent Franschhoek valley was definitely worth the few drops of sweat on the brow!

Kirsty & Curtis had their ceremony out on the lawn with the vineyards and mountains as a backdrop. The reception was outdoors too. A long table for all of 16 guests complete with fairy lights and bare bulbs created the most romantic setting.

We’ve come to love intimate weddings, and Kirsty & Curtis’ special day was no exception. Such a chilled, laid back day. If felt more as if we were wedding guests than the wedding photographers. Their beautiful little girl Isabella certainly stole the show with her antics. She’s a real cutie!

Kirsty and Curtis, we are so grateful that you chose us to document your special memories. We feel privileged to be able to document love stories like yours. Your Rickety Bridge Estate wedding left us with all of the feels, that’s for sure!

On side note, Eldorét, the on site wedding planner & co-ordinator is one amazing lady. Nothing is ever to much effort for her, and she treats not only her wedding couples and their guests with such such love and respect, but makes the service providers feel so at home at Rickety Bridge. It’s always a pleasure working with her.
