How special being part of Maddie & Jesse’s Twelve Apostles surprise proposal shoot.  A more spectacular setting and gorgeous couple we could not have wished for!

I can honestly say that capturing surprise proposals definitely evokes some sort of childlike excitement and nervousness.  It’s such a big moment, and so many things go through your mind.  Will she say yes?  Will they be facing the right way to get the perfect shot?  What if we miss the ACTUAL moment?  Well, we can say for sure that with Maddie & Jesse’s Twelve Apostles surprise proposal we had nothing to worry about, as everything worked out just perfectly!  And she said YES!

We had been communicating with Jesse via email and what’s app.  These two had come to Cape Town on holiday from Canada, and unbeknown to Maddie it would be more than just a holiday.  She knew we were doing a photo shoot, but she had no idea that Jesse was going to ask her to be his wife.  We’d planned it all down to the smallest detail.

And then on the day of the shoot the wind was HOWLING!  So much so, that their picnic had to be moved inside.  But this was not going to get anyone down.  After the two of them enjoyed their romantic picnic for two inside, we braved the elements.  And man oh man was it exciting.  The rush of the wind, the cool sea breeze,  and the beautiful scenery.  It was actually all perfect!  And so there it was upon Stanley’s Rock that Jesse asked Maddie to spend forever with him.  What a special moment frozen in time.
