This Webersburg Wine Estate wedding took place in the nick of time! Only a short while later and South Africa was put on the red list by the UK government. It would have meant Caroline & Fernand would have had to postpone again! I can’t even begin to imagine the outcome, as so many guests, including the bride’s family flew over from the UK.

But lets not dwell on that. Caroline & Fernand’s Webersburg Wine Estate wedding DID happen. And it was gorgeous! They could not have asked for better weather. In fact it was a pretty perfect October day in the Stellenbosch winelands. So much so, that most of the guests spent the morning chilling at the pool!

What we so love about Webersburg Wine Estate is that it is the perfect one stop wedding venue. There’s ample accommodation for the bride and groom as well as their families. There are options for indoor and well as outdoor ceremony areas. Depending on the size of their wedding, couples also have a choice of reception venues. I am sure we speak on behalf of most wedding photographers, but we LOVE this kind of set up! Too often we’ve seen an incredible amount of precious shooting time wasted on driving between different locations. It’s so much more chilled when everything happens in one place.

And this brings us to the lovely bride and groom. Chilled is exactly what Caroline and Fernand are.
We first met these two lovelies over zoom, and then face to face when we did their engagement shoot at Signal Hill. A Swiss boy and a UK girl getting married in South Africa. A fairytale story indeed and a treat for the guests who had travelled from afar.

Caroline and Fernand, we are so happy that you were able to celebrate your beautiful Webersburg Wine Estate wedding. Thank you for choosing us to document your special day. And on a side note, Caroline, thanks for braving the feathered creatures and making it ALL the way around the dam! It certainly was worth it. And one last thing… don’t you think Fernand is a TOTAL Jason Statham look alike?
