Decorex Cape Town

With this Cape Town event photography gig, we can now officially add Decorex CTICC to our portfolio.

BACK ON OLD STOMPING GROUNDS

Our journey with Decorex started last year. How wonderful it was for the team from RX Events to fly us up to Sandton to cover the Jozi event. This time, however it was on home soil. Having done a fair amount of Cape Town event photography at the CTICC, we were on old stomping grounds.

With floor plans in hand, trusty tripods oiled, camera batteries charged and energy bars in our side pockets, we set off on four days of covering the fabulous event that is Decorex.

UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL

I must admit, being up close and personal with all of the stands during this Cape Town event photography assignment, by day 4 we could almost walk the floor with our eyes shut. If there’s anyone other than the organizing team who could offer advice on what to see at Decorex, I reckon we could do a pretty good job!

And what a fabulous array of wonderful stands there were at this year’s Decorex Cape Town event. Everything from furnishings to finishes, décor to design, arts and crafts, not forgetting the informative design talks and cooking sessions. And when feet were tired and all of the browsing had visitors feeling a little peckish, there were some lovely spaces to get a bit of sustenance.

It was amazing to see how much time, dedication and energy went in to erecting stands. From the small, yet eye catching to those with pops of colour and then of course the larger and elaborate ones. I suppose it’s wrong to have any favourites, but darn, we just could help ourselves gravitating back to certain stands.

After 4 very physical days of shooting, the mammoth task of sorting, selecting, editing and uploading is always a little daunting, but we can finally say we are nearly done! Believe us when we say we have been working round the clock (except for one day we took off to celebrate our 20 year anniversary!) to get to this point!
