Naseera & Mohamed

This Stellenbosch Muslim wedding was an absolute delight to photograph.  I mean come on.  Two such gorgeous people who are permanently smiling and head over heels in love with each other.  Add to that a day filled with countless moments and emotions, and you have a winner!  It was lovely bumping into some familiar faces too.  It’s always nice to catch up with our previous wedding couples as well as family and friends.

Naseera and Mohamed’s Stellenbosch Muslim wedding did not start off in the town at all, but rather at the homes of both the bride and groom to be.  After a short prayer it was off to the Habibia Soofie Masjid for the Nikkah ceremony.  I absolutely loved the mosque kitty who was literally posing for photos too.  As with most Nikkah ceremonies, tissues were required, especially upstairs with the ladies.  Emotions are running high for the wedding couple and their parents.  There are mixed feelings as the couple leaves their respective homes to start a brand new chapter in their lives.

After the official business was done, it was time for an outfit change, and then a celebratory lunch with family and friends at the Stellenbosch Town Hall.  As Muslim wedding photogaphers in Cape Town most of our shoots are in the southern suburbs, so it was quite refreshing heading out to Stellenbosch.

After photos with the guests we went to Spier Estate for the couple shoot.  What a breeze these two were to photograph.  Spontaneous and full of fun!  Naseera and Mohamed, you are complete naturals in front of the camera. Thank you for bundu bashing into all of those crazy places for us to get the perfect shots.
