Riezqah & Farzaad

This Dawn Mountains Wedding ticked all of the boxes! A heartfelt ceremony, a gorgeous couple, a stunning venue and lots and lots of moments!  We have been Muslim Wedding Photographers in Cape Town for quite some time now.  The beautiful Nikkah ceremony in the mosque, to the stunning outfits and special traditions all still excite us as much as the day we shot our first Muslim Wedding.

And best of all, a sunset shoot with the couple! As it was an early reception, it meant the first part of the couple shoot was in bright, harsh sunlight, so when Riezqah & Farzaad said yes to sneaking out of the reception with us, we were ELATED! We wish ALL couples would work this into their wedding day programme. You only need 20 minutes or so, but it makes ALL the difference to the quality of the final product!

This Dawn Mountains wedding was super relaxed and chilled. Having being Muslim wedding photographers in Cape Town for close on 10 years now, it has been interesting to see the trend of weddings becoming smaller in terms of number of guests.  A small wedding as far as Muslim wedding receptions go, meant it was intimate for the couple, their family and friends. Other than the Nikkah ceremony at the Masjidul Quds, everything else happened at Dawn Mountains. It just makes for such a relaxed day when there is no unnecessary driving around.

Riezqah and Farzaad are so cute together. Farzaad is like a big teddy bear when he hugs his petite bride. Their interactions are sweet and gentle. And they are pure love! And THAT dear friends is what we love capturing!

It also felt like a bit of a reunion for us seeing many familiar faces of couple’s and their families that have graced our lenses in the past.  The Cape Town Muslim community are tight knit, and having covered so many family weddings, we are made to feel so at home at any of the events we cover.

We certainly hope to be capturing another Dawn Mountains wedding in the not too distant future. Thank you so much Riezqah and Farzaad for choosing us to capture you very precious moments. You two are amazing!
