This Vredenburg Manor House wedding was a treat to photograph!  It was a a perfect summers day in the Stellenbosch winelands.

Where does one even begin to describe Natalie and Marc’s beyond fabulous Stellenbosch Winelands wedding day?  It’s been a while since we’ve photographed a wedding with SO much joy and laughter.  It was one of those days that left us with such happy hearts.  Not only had we photographed two people who we know are going to be together till grey hairs show, but the entire day was filled with so many moments.   Add to that some glorious light,  and you have two very happy Cape Town wedding photographers!

VREDENBURG MANOR HOUSE WEDDING DELIGHT

Natalie & Marc’s Vredenburg Manor House wedding was in the most beautiful of settings.  Situated on Winery Road outside Stellenbosch, this gem of a wedding venue has it all.  When we arrived,  the grounds were so fresh and peaceful.  There were ducks waddling about, and squirrels collecting acorns on the lush green lawns.

The beautiful Cape Dutch manor house is set between massive old oak trees.  It boasts a complete wrap around stoep.    Filling the length of the front of the manor house was a feast table.  It was adorned with colourful glasses and decor.  The ceremony area was set up under a huge oak tree.

The entire lawn had been divided up into little chill areas,  There were beautiful throws, cushions and garden furniture.  Lawn games were laid out to keep guests entertained.  Natalie and Marc wanted to create a casual Bohemian feel for their wedding day.  Natalie’s mom made a lot of the décor items.  So much attention was given to small details.  There were even a couple of guitars for guests to play to add to the chilled vibe!  The décor popped with colour, and especially the glasses on the long wedding table looked amazing as the sunlight caught them.  The giant dream catchers hanging from the trees, also made by Natalie’s mom were amazing!

The wedding ceremony was beautiful.  There were so many special moments, and a few tears.  Afterwards everyone enjoyed bubbly and canapes before sitting down for a long lazy luncheon.  After lunch it was time for lawn games and chilling.  Natalie and Marc had organized a caricaturist.  This was loads of fun!  There was also a mobile ice cream stand.

We did the couple shoot at the end of the day.  The light was soft and beautiful and Natalie and Marc were AMAZING to photograph.  They are so spontaneous with the most beautiful hearts and smiles.

• The beautiful setting.  There is definitely something special about stately old oak trees.  Anyone who is considering a winelands wedding, this venue is AMAZING!
• The pops of colour.  Perfect for a happy and joyous day!
• The giant white dream catchers lovingly made my Natalie’s mom.  We are sure many hopes and dreams were caught on this special day.
• The laughter – don’t think we have ever photographed a wedding couple who have laughed this much!
