Cape Town Engagement Function

Kaashifa & Muhammed

And there, just like that we found ourselves back in the lovely Aziz household to photograph Kaashifa & Muhammed’s Cape Town engagement function.  Not long ago we were photographing Kaashifa’s sister’s engagement there, and subsequently Firdaus & Shehzaad’s wedding day.  We are always so humbled at the warm and hospitable welcome we receive at the Aziz home.

It all started with the Parker family quite a number of years ago.   Yusrah and Azeem booked us to photograph their wedding and now Yusra’s brother, Muhammed is getting married.  We literally have such a rich and beautiful history with these lovely people.  It feels more like we are photographing a family function than just “clients.”  I mean, who gives you a one ton doggy bag of the most delicious butter chicken, curried prawns, homemade rotis, veggies and rice to take home with you – only FAMILY!

Beautiful Kaashifa, one of five siblings; a brother and 3 other drop dead gorgeous sisters, looked like a princess on the evening of her Cape Town engagement function.

Their mom has a definite flair for beautiful fashion, shoes and make-up, this we’ve learnt on our visits to the Aziz household, and this certainly has rubbed off on her gorgeous daughters!

Tall, handsome Muhammed is a perfect match to Kaashifa.  We so enjoyed our brief moments with them on their own up on the balcony of the beautiful Aziz home in Plattekoof.  They certainly make a stunning couple!

Engagement events in the Muslim culture are a festive and colourful affair.  We love the traditions, the outfits and the beautiful gifts exchanged between families.  But most of all it’s admirable to see how religion forms such a central point of daily life.

Kaashifa & Muhammed,  you two are perfect for each other.  We are so excited to walk this journey with you, and we cannot wait for your wedding later this year!
