The Prince Family

This was such a perfect Cape Town family photo session with the lovely Prince foursome.  I don’t think Cape Town could have shown off better even if she tried.  It was one of those balmy,  wind still days that only the Autumn months can deliver.

We photographed Lauren & Ricky’s wedding some years back.  Now we had the honour of meeting their lovely little family.  The Prince’s live up in Joburg, but they were down for a family wedding.  We were so excited when Lauren mailed to find out if we’d be available for a Cape Town family photo session!

We’d never shot down at Beta Beach in Bakoven before.  Being the perfect evening for sundowners, the little stretch of sand was jam packed, and there literally wasn’t space to swing a cat, yet alone photograph a family of four!  Instead we headed onto the boulders.  It was pretty epic.  You had views of the ocean one way, Lions Head the other, and the 12 Apostles behind us.

Lauren & Ricky, you have the most beautiful children.  They are such a mix of the two of you.  Riley, the adventurous one was more eager to explore than pose for photos, but he did such a great job.  You can see he truly loves his sister!  Little Bailey took a while to warm up to the camera, but when she did, she was the perfect little model!  They certainly had fun splashing about in the tidal puddles!

The light could not have been more perfect.  As the sun started to dip, the mountains took on a golden glow.  A stunning back drop for an equally stunning family!  Sometimes we have to pinch ourselves that we get to be photographers in Cape Town!

Cape Town definitely looks good on you, and we really hope it’s not another 10 years until we get to do another Cape Town family photo shoot for you guys!
