This Cape Town maternity photoshoot was the perfect way to kick off our weekend. Aren’t these two just the most gorgeous parents to be?

CAPE TOWN WEATHER, FOUR SEASONS IN ONE DAY

We’d being messaging to and fro about the weather. This is the thing about photo shoots in Cape Town. You can never be sure what to expect. Sometimes there can be four seasons in one day. Even on the morning of the shoot we were a little indecisive as to whether we should go ahead or not. It was super windy out our side of the world. But, my oh my, what a perfect evening it ended up being down at Blouberg Beach for Lutfiyya and Dawood’s Cape Town maternity photoshoot.

There was just enough of a breeze to make Lutfiyya’s beautiful dress flutter in the wind. The water was freezing though, and I think this little baby must have been jiggling about every time mom put her feet into the ocean. We had so much fun though, and it was definitely worth braving the cold water.

THE SOON TO BE MOM AND DAD

As the sun started getting low we clambered on to the rocks. Lutfiyya, with her beautiful long hair and flowy dress made me think of a mythical mermaid.

The interactions between Lutfiyya and Dawood are so gentle. We can only imagine them being the most wonderful parents. This is going to be one very lucky little baby.
