Eloise & Jarred

Our first Langkloof Roses wedding, and it was probably one of the hottest days of the year! So much so that the manager was like: “You can’t be in this heat! He eagerly showed us a little cold room just off the main venue where he INSISTED we go for a while when the midday heat got too much! But we had a job to do, and extreme weather comes with the territory, so we’re used to it!  We’ve been wedding photographers in Cape Town for long enough to know that this time of year some days can be scorchers!

Eloise & Jarred had originally planned a wedding on their family farm in the Karoo, but alas, COVID came along and put a spanner in the works. Several date changes and a few venues later, and we got to shoot their lovely Langkloof Roses wedding.

Eloise is certainly not your average bride – in a nice way that is. Her words to us were: “I don’t want pictures of the shoes and perfume in the corner, I want moments, even the bloopers.” We immediately knew she’d be “our” kinda girl.

And so it was that Eloise and Jarred’s Langkloof Roses wedding day WAS filled with moments. From start to finish. It was about love, laughter and fun. All culminating in a feast fit for a king under the cool oak trees. It was so refreshing to see a couple so comfortable in themselves and their ideals. No airs and graces, no fancy frills, just down to earth and enjoying the goodness around them.

There were some familiar faces too, and it felt like a bit of a reunion seeing all the lovelies from Danel & Nico’s Sutherland wedding.

Eloise & Jarred, thank you so much for trusting us to tell the story of your beautiful day. You guys are amazing! Your wedding was the perfect example of what is to be honestly true to yourselves, and we so admire you both for it!
