Rickety Bridge Winery Wedding
Amy & Jonathan
Photographing a Rickety Bridge Winery wedding is a treat. Traditionally weddings in Cape Town happen on weekends, so a midweek escape from the madness of our home office is always welcome. And when it’s a micro destination wedding with only the couple and ten guests, even better!
We’ve grown to love these small intimate weddings that became a “thing” during the pandemic. There may be only a handful of people, but I am convinced there is twice the vibe!
SUNFLOWERS AND HAPPY TEARS
For us, Amy & Jonathan’s Rickety Bridge Winery wedding day started with the ceremony. It may have not been the sunny day they had hoped for, but the beautiful sunflowers lining the aisle and adorning the wedding arch were the perfect backdrop. If there’s one sure way to trigger the guests, it’s an emotional groom. Just one tear trickled down Jonathan’s cheek and I think all ten of their guests were reaching for the tissues!
Amy looked exquisite in her gorgeous flowy wedding dress, perfect for doing twirls! It’s not hard to see why she stole Jonathan’s heart.
Guests enjoyed canapes and live entertainment on the lawn in front of the manor house while we snuck off for the couple shoot. The weather may have been cloudy, but these two were on fire!
An intimate long table setting awaited them on their return. More pops of yellow, good wine and some fairy lights too! Once dinner was done, we believe it turned into quite the party a little later.
Thank you Amy & Jonathan for choosing us to document your special day. We loved created these memories of your Rickety Bridge Winery wedding.
