The Malmberg Family

These Simon’s Town family photos were not the average kind. How incredibly privileged we were to be a part of this story.

SIMON’S TOWN FAMILY PHOTOS WITH A TWIST

Morgan and Luke came to South Africa with a purpose. The purpose of becoming a family. They spent a whole 3 months here finalizing their adoption process. Morgan had enquired with us about doing a family shoot, but we could never really confirm a date.  It was a waiting game till the process would be completed.

And so it was that everything suddenly happened rather quickly, and within days, little Kulu became part of the family. Just one day before they were due to fly back to the States we got to take these very special Simon’s Town family photos.

As one of our friends exclaimed in a private message after seeing the sneaky peek on Facebook: “She looks like she was born from this couple!” These words ring true. Morgan and Lucas were made for each other, and by golly, they were made to be the parents of this precious little girl! It all comes so naturally, and seeing them together, you’d never say they have only been a family for a few weeks!

THE EXCITEMENT WAS REAL

Kulu was like a little wind up bunny. She was so excited to pose for the camera and to take in all of her new surroundings in Simon’s Town. Most of all, the instant love she has for her new mom and dad is something that is rather difficult to put into words. How lucky is she to have such an amazing Aunty and Uncle too?  They came all the way to SA for just a few days to meet her! You may recognize them from their couple shoot!

For part two of these Simon’s Town family photos, we went to a secluded little beach. We had the place to ourselves. The only way to describe what went down was a “joyous noise!” We left feeling invigorated and grateful to have been a small part of this amazing story.
