Cape Town has to be one of the most beautiful wedding destinations in the world.  There are few cities that would make a more perfect backdrop for your wedding photos.  But then again, we are biased, as we are lucky enough to call Cape Town our home.

If you are lucky enough to have a window seat when flying in to Cape Town, you’ll get a glimpse of our iconic Table Mountain.  To the indigenous people of the Cape, it was known as “Hoerikwaggo” or “mountain in the sea, ” as it literally seems to rise out of the water.   It is an ever present landmark as you make your way around the Peninsula.  It’s not just the typical view of the flat table top, but Lions Head and the Twelve Apostles that make spectacular backdrops for wedding photography too.

Cape Town has a host of historical buildings, and the city centre is a wonderful glimpse into the melting pot that makes up our rainbow nation.  Some more elaborate venues with a European influence provide a unique setting, while one of the many cosy coffee shops  in and around the city could make a quirky setting for your intimate wedding photos too.

A drive around the peninsula will reveal that Cape Town has some of the most beautiful beaches in the world.  Long sandy stretches with amazing sunsets make it perfect for wedding photography.

Are wine estates more your thing?  No need to drive too far out of the city, Cape Town has its very own Constantia Wine Valley.  Gabled homesteads and rolling vineyards offer a wedding setting that is unique to the Cape.
